Five pillars · one cycle

From producing evidence to putting it to use.

Our services are organised around five complementary pillars. Each one meets a specific need and can be used on its own. Together, they cover the whole cycle, from producing evidence to its use by decision-makers.

Independence rule

iLab never carries out quality assurance for an evaluation it is conducting or bidding for. We are never both judge and party.

An integrated pathway

From evidence to use.

Our five pillars build on one another so that an evaluation does not end with the report: its findings are shared, disseminated and captured as lessons learned, and used to strengthen the teams who will apply them.

1Pillar 3 · Research and evaluation

Produce

Conduct or support the evaluation: terms of reference, quality assurance, data collection and analysis, up to and including impact evaluation.

Pillar 3 →
2Pillar 1 · Workshops and webinars

Share

Validate the findings and co-create the recommendations with the people who will have to implement them.

Pillar 1 →
3Pillar 2 · Dissemination and uptake

Disseminate

Tailor the findings to each audience: a policy brief for decision-makers, a short video in the national language for communities.

Pillar 2 →
4Pillar 5 · Knowledge management

Capitalise

Feed the findings into evidence synthesis, so that the next programme builds on what is already known.

Pillar 5 →
5Pillar 4 · Training

Strengthen

Train teams to produce and use evidence, with learning pathways designed on the ADDIE model.
